Were Jennifer Lopez, Charlie Sheen and LeBron James All Flying on an Unsafe Private Plane?
A whistleblower is calling out Crystal Air Aviation for flying their VIP clients, including Jennifer Lopez and Charlie Sheen, on an unsafe jet.
The ex-pilot, George Thomsen, left the airline after discovering problems with everything from the plane's navigational device to its weather radar and fuel lines:
"My whole career of 42 years of flying has been about safety," he said. "These guys for whatever way possible to shortchange training, shortchange maintenance and jeopardize safety. They are jeopardizing safety and lives."
According to Thomsen, several A-List customers have been put in serious danger by the airline, like LeBron James who could have been killed after a fuel leak on the Gulfstream N45AC jet during a flight from London to Ohio. And The Red Hot Chili Peppers, whose flight was grounded after problems with the plane's navigational equipment during a flight to South America.
Crystal Air has responded, saying, "there were misunderstandings on both sides" and of course denies the allegations. But, the FAA will have the final word when they finish an investigation into the pilot's claims sometime next year.
