Watch the New Muppets Movie, Then Get Inside the Mind of Jim Henson in NYC

November 23, 2011 at 12:22 PM | by | ()

Some of us will overdose on nostalgia, along with turkey, this week as a new Muppets movie opens in theaters. In The Muppets, which hits theaters today, Kermit and his furry friends must reunite to stage The Greatest Muppet Telethon Ever and save The Muppet Theater from an oil tycoon who plans to demolish the building.

Muppet enthusiasts can also get a look inside the mind of legendary Muppets' creator Jim Henson at the Museum Of The Moving Image in New York City through January 16, 2012. Jim Henson's Fantastic World celebrates Henson's creative genius through his original drawings, storyboards, and props, including rare Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog puppets.

The museum, located at 36-01 35 Avenue in Astoria, NY, is open Tuesday - Sunday (though they will be closed on Thanksgiving). Adult admission is $12. For more information about the Jim Henson exhibit, visit MovingImage.us.
