Obviously if you’re an airport geek—kind of like us—you’ll want to get there way before your flight to check things out. Especially because that new airport smell won’t last for long. New stuff to notice includes a brand new people mover to whisk you over to the security checkpoint, as well as plenty of spots to blow your hard-earned cash.
However, the most interesting things to check out include over $6 million in art projects, including a giant—as in 56-feet large—red rabbit suspended above showing you the way to baggage claim. Watch an awesome slideshow of some of the art projects right here.
It’s not just Sbarro here, as local shops and restaurants are making an appearance both before and after security. Esquire Grill, Jack's Urban Eats, Dos Coyotes and Old Soul Café are all scheduled to debut along with the new airport terminal and concourse. Seats inside the terminal are padded and plentiful, and there’s cup holders and plenty of places to plug in. That’s good to know since you’ll certainly need some extra juice as you enjoy the free airport-wide WiFi.
Our only complaint—too bad Governor Arnold is no longer around to cut the ribbon on this place.
