Three of the Freakiest Theme Park Haunted Houses This Season

The leaves have been falling and the pumpkins are being added to fire escapes and front stoops across the country, and that means it’s time to hit the scary stuff at the theme parks. Halloween is the best time at many parks across the country, but if you’re looking for the scariest haunted house here’s three that are worth your time:

· Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios - The In-Between:
The scary stuff runs in both Hollywood and Orlando, but when it comes to the fright and fear the parks in Florida are probably your best bet. There are plenty of different atrocious attractions, but the one that sounds the scariest is the The In-Between. Apparently here your worst nightmares come to life, and it’s all done in 3D. Not only will you see your life flash before your eyes, but also you’ll be doing it all with a pair of 3D glasses. Tickets to this house—and plenty of other awful attractions—will set you back around $80; however, this is to both the scary stuff at night and the more tame attractions during the day.

· Cedar Point - Happy Jack’s Toy Factory:
At Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio your childhood toys come alive in a horrible way, so make sure you’re prepared to take on this haunted house. Here dolls and stuffed animals are not quite as you remembered them, and they’re all alive in search of a few scared souls to add to the toy box. The fun—if you can call it that—runs through the end of the month, and the opportunity to be scared silly will set you back about $50. This is just one of many different haunted houses and scare zones at the park, but this is one that we think is the absolute best worst.

· Six Flags Great Adventure - Project XI: Mortuary Manor:
Fright Fest is available at Six Flags theme parks across the country, but some of the scariest stuff is available not too far outside of New York City in Jackson, New Jersey. The haunted house here to avoid—we mean must see—is Project XI: Mortuary Manor. Apparently the zombie apocalypse is all over, but there’s one demented scientist trying to change that.

You think things are all find and dandy until you notice that the zombies are back and eager to regain their stronghold—and they’re hungry for flesh. Admission is between $40 and $50 depending on when you visit, but there’s an extra admission fee to this haunted house—and a couple others—‘cause they so darn scary.
