Participating restaurants include Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery, Chili’s Too, and—one of our favorites—French Meadow Bakery & Café. Obviously we’d love a little latte delivery from Starbucks, but for now we’ve got to say this seems pretty darn nifty. Best of all, you can mix and match, so get you fries from Chili’s and your sandwich from French Meadow.
Those stuck in the airport are welcome to order breakfast, lunch, or dinner, as the service is available from 7am until 8pm. The goal is to have your food to you in 20 minutes or less, and there’s no fee or surcharge for utilizing the service; however, tips are optional—but we think should be encouraged. They’ll even offer refunds or discounts for orders that take too long or for planes that leave too early.
Overall we’re glad to see this as an option, and we’ll definitely take advantage of it next time we’re headed through and airport where it’s available just to check it out for ourselves. Although honestly we’d probably feel a little bit lazy if we started to use it on a regularly basis. Up next for the program is Chicago-O’Hare, and if they start delivery some of those Rick Bayless tortas we might be come addicted to B4YOUBOARD.
