Although we've seen all around outside and inside ANA's domestic Dreamliner, we haven't yet peeked into the long-haul version, which will have considerably more Business Class seats. The totals: 46 Business Class and 112 Economy to equal 158 total in the long-haul configuration. If you're curious about this flight, the special ANA 787 website is right here.
Regular service between HND and FRA begins February 1, so of course we checked pricing and dates to see when is the earliest and most affordable time you can do a long-haul roundtrip on the 787? Our results are above, with a departure on NH 203 at 1am on Wednesday February 1, 2011 and returning Sunday February 5, 2011 on NH 204, both confirmed on 787s. The price for economy: JPY114,420 ($1,486.16). In Biz Class, that'll be JPY432,420 ($5,616.57), please.
Oh, and if you're thinking these flights won't sell out, they will. We were in Tokyo around this time last year, and even then the daily news was giving updates on 787 progress. Japan is psyched, and we are too. So...see you at the ticket counter?
