It's hard to believe, but South By Southwest is right around the corner, and even though the film/music/interactive conference hasn't produced its full schedule, there's already plenty to get excited about.

So far, SXSW Film Festival has announced seven of the films in this year's line-up, including the Mel Gibson movie The Beaver, about a father with anger issues who uses a beaver hand puppet to communicate with his family and co-workers, Jake Gyllenahaal's upcoming thriller Source Code, and Conan O'Brien Can't Stop, which is a documentary about Conan;s 32-City tour last summer. Stay tuned; the full line up will be announced next month.

Once the fest starts, film screenings will take place daily starting Friday, March 11 - Saturday, March 19, 2011 at various venues. If you missed your chance to get passes to the fest, have no fear, as individual tickets for each film will be sold about 15 minutes prior to each day's screening for $10, assuming there is still space available.

On the music side, most of the line-up has been announced and this year will include bands like the Boxer Rebellion, Menomena, J Mascis, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, Ebony Bones, Nite Jewel, the Joy Formidable, Sondre Lerche, Das Racist, John Vanderslice and the Baseball Project. Music legend Bob Geldof has also been announced as the Keynote Speaker and Showcase Performer. You can find the full schedule (so far) and ticket information at schedule.sxsw.com.
