'Airplane!' Will Hit Movie Theaters Again for Two Special Showings

Can you even fathom the fact that it's been 31 years since the air travel comedy classic "Airplane!" hit the theaters? Since then, we've lost two of the starring actors (RIP Leslie Nielsen and Peter Graves) and the film has been forever entered into the Library of Congress' National Film Registry. Well, after all these, years, "Airplane!" is still proving it's got wings, as the film is due for a special re-release for two days only.

"Airplane!" will be shown at select AMC Theatres on January 29 at 12:30pm and February 1 at 7pm (all local times). More details:

Aside from all the famous lines and quirky scenes, people who go to these special screenings will get the additional bonus of a commemorative, full-size "Airplane!" movie poster (while supplies last). See if your local AMC theaters are playing it and buy tickets here. Most big cities have several options, but even small towns get some AMC love.

31 years?

Jeeze, I hadn't realized that it had been so long since Airplane. I last remember watching it on VCR back in the day, laughed like hell!
