DirecTV's NFL Sunday Ticket is Now Live on JetBlue

At this point everyone knows that JetBlue is most famous for its complimentary in-flight snacks and free access to loads of live television channels thanks to the folks at DirecTV. Well, this season the television options just got a lot better, and it’s not just because the new sitcoms, reality shows, and dramas have finally returned from a summer of reruns.

The NFL has come to seat back television this year, and on every Sunday up in the air passengers can watch each and every game—live! That’s right—buy a cold one and order another round of the blue chips, as it’s time to sit back and cheer for your favorite team live from the airplane cabin.

Games started airing last weekend, and fans have access to up to 14 games each and every Sunday through the end of the year. JetBlue is the official airline of both the Jets and Bills—the airline is a New Yorker after all—so just make sure not to upset the pilots or flight attendants when rooting for someone else.

The only downer—and this likely only a downer for some—is that a few typical JetBlue channel options are getting bumped in favor of football. If you’re looking for channels like the Discovery Channel, TV Land, or MSNBC, you’re out of luck. Channels 26-37 are all getting the boot in favor of the weekly games; however, around 8pm (ET) things will kick back to normal and you can enjoy your regularly scheduled program.

JetBlue is already on our travel short list, but we’re definitely keeping this in the mind for any Sunday flights through the end of the year.
