'Undercover Boss' to Scrub Hotel Toilets and Lug Airline Baggage

We realize that your Sunday evening television is already filled with professional football and Keeping Up With The Kardashians, but there’s another show worth checking out to get a behind the scenes look inside the airline and hotel industry. In case you missed it last year, CBS’ Undercover Boss secretly throws CEOs and other company hotshots within the ranks of lower company employees in hopes of revealing a little bit of what goes on outside the executive boardroom.

This season’s premiere hits the airwaves Sunday at 10pm (ET), and will feature the head honcho of Choice Hotels cleaning hotel rooms, scrubbing toilets, and accommodating aggravated travelers. Steve Joyce, CEO of Choice Hotels, doesn’t have too many top properties around the globe—think Comfort Inn and EconoLodge—but we’re still interested in what he’ll have to deal with.

The episode date hasn’t been announced just yet, but we’re thinking our TiVo will be set for sometime in October when the CEO of the company behind Frontier Airlines takes to the program. We’re thinking that we can expect a little baggage handling, a little in-flight beverage service, and a lot of canceled flight rebooking. Maybe he’ll also get to see how nuts the boarding process is now that practically everyone is charging fees for checked baggage.

Other important people from NASCAR, Lucky Strike Lanes, and the Chicago Cubs will be featured this season. They’re not really travel-related, but if the season premier gets us hooked, we might stick around to see what it’s like to work behind the scenes for a baseball team that just can’t catch a break.
