· Delta:
Delta seems to be pretty busy lately building up their domestic network. Last week we saw all kinds of newbie routes from Washington, DC, but this week’s focus turns towards the Big Apple. New York’s JFK will see new nonstop service to Orange County beginning September 7. Even though reality television has seemed to leave the OC in the dust, there’s still awesome beaches, great weather, and of course very expensive Disneyland tickets.
· American Airlines:
If you need an escape to the big city, American Airlines has got you covered. They’re adding three new trips to JFK on their American Eagle regional jets starting November 18. Cincinnati, Indianapolis, and Norfolk are all getting the new nonstop routes, which will be handy for a weekend trip or for one of those snazzy new JetBlue connection opportunities.
· Ryanair:
We didn’t realize that Bulgaria was the next great ski destination, but Ryanair did and they’re starting new service to spread the word. Beginning in November, the low cost carrier will initiate service between London-Stansted airport and Plovdiv. The flights will operate just twice per week at first, but this should give plenty of opportunity to check out resorts in Bansko and Pamparovo.
