Johnny Depp Docks at Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii for 'Pirates of the Caribbean 4'

For the past week, the streets around the He'eia Kea Pier and Kaneohe Bay on the windward coast of Oahu have been jam packed with fans trying to get a glimpse of Captain Jack Sparrow.

Johnny Depp and his Pirates of the Caribbean co-stars are currently filming scenes for the fourth movie on the pirate ship, The Black Pearl, which is docked in Kaneohe Bay. Fans have watched from afar as the actors (or more likely their stunt men) have performed death-defying scenes like sword fighting while climbing up and down the ship's sails.

Every night after filming has wrapped, Johnny—still dressed in his Captain Jack costume—has stopped to shake hands with waiting fans. And while the crowds on the ground are getting bigger and bigger, some fans have taken to the seas to get a closer look at the ship. One fan said her family spotted Depp on board from their sailboat as they were entering the bay.

Kaneohe Bay is known for its coral reef and sandbar which can only be seen during low tide. Tom Barefoot's Tours has a special Picnic and Snorkel Cruise that brings guests out to the sandbar for a picnic and snorkeling (and, most likely, a good view of The Black Pearl). The 7-hour tour is all inclusive, adult rates start at $77.90.
