Summer may be winding down, but don't get out those winter coats just yet. If a couple of weeks in a warm climate helping kids sounds like a better option than schlepping through the snow, take a look at Projects Abroad's voluntourism trips to Fiji.

Projects Abroad is one of the leading organizations for pairing volunteers with opportunities around the world. In Fiji, Projects Abroad is based in Nadi on the main island of Viti Levu, where they work primarily with children. Care project volunteers work at kindergartens, orphanages or at centers for children with learning disabilities. Most volunteers become teaching volunteers, to assist teachers in the classroom.

On the weekend, Projects Abroad staff members plan trips to various locations like Vanua Levu, the other major island of Fiji. Or, you can take off on your own during your downtime to swim at one of Fiji’s small secluded islands.

There are volunteer opportunities year-round for little as 2 weeks or as long as 3 months. Rates start at $2,345 for 2 weeks, which includes lodging with a local host family, meals, access to Projects Abroad staff members, and travel/medical insurance.

To apply, fill out and submit this form or you can chat online with a Projects Abroad staff member for more information.
