Gogo Throws a Summer Sale on Their Monthly In-flight WiFi Plan
We’ve had the pleasure of using Gogo in-flight internet on a number of flights across different airlines, and at this point we get a little bummed out when it’s not available. However, we’re a little afraid of commitment and haven’t selected the monthly subscription just yet.
Now's the time to be thinking these thoughts anyway as their monthly subscription price just got a bump in the right direction—down. If you sign up for a monthly plan, in-flight WiFi magic will cost you only $19.95. The only downer is that the $34.95 price kicks back in once the second month rolls around, but the discount might be enough for some to skip the Gogo Flight Passes and think long term. At least the subscription works across all carriers where the service is available.
Just thinkusing the WiFi up in the sky puts you in the coolest 10% of passengers, as Some analysts are reporting that less than 10% of passengers feel the need to stay connected above the clouds. Coupons, promotions, and other freebies might be keeping the actual amount of paid users down, but some think it's the price that’s keeping usage down. To us the price seems pretty reasonable for what you get, but we’re always big fans of cheaper.
