Replace Your Craving for Alcohol in Dubai with Loads of Chocolate

As if Dubai needed another altar to excess, the city just debuted the region's first Hershey's Chocolate World.

Not only is this the first Middle East location, but it's also the largest Hershey's store after the flagship in Hershey, Pensylvania. Yep—it even beats the Hershey's Chocolate World in Times Square, New York City. And even though it can't be the largest, the Dubai Mall location makes up for this by displaying some other superlatives:

Hershey’s Chocolate World Dubai is also home to the World’s Largest Hershey Chocolate bar, weighing in at an extensive 5 pounds and sized at 60 centimeters by 30 centimeters. In addition, the store is also home to the World’s Largest Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup and World’s largest KISS.

So why is this notable for travelers? Well, first is signifies that companies are still very much interested in expanding to Dubai and filling up the empty lots inside of Dubai Mall with more flagship and more recognized brands. Also, the addition of such a large Hershey's means that even though Dubai is mostly dry due to the Muslim prohibition against drinking alcohol, chocolate is still very much in abundance.
