· Coffee
When you need a jolt to get you charged for a long day of partying, head to Chicago's premier java joint, Intelligentsia. The shop closest to the concert venue is the Millennium Park location. The house blend will help get you moving after a long night and their reputation for being serious coffee nerds mixed with a bit of artistry will no doubt impress.
· Food
Big Star calls itself a bar, but you'll be more interested in its delicious upscale Mexican food. We raved about the queso fundido, but the tacos al pastor are just as delicious. Sit in the outdoor patio of this hip hangout and cap off a hot day in the park with a sinful dulce de leche milkshake.
· Alcohol
When you want to knock back some real drinks, visit the Violet Hour. Some of the city's top mixologists shake up concoctions at this chic, cozy cocktail bar. Try the signature Juliet & Romeo, with Beefeater gin, mint, cucumber and rose water. To come here however, you should probably change out of your sweaty concert duds and into some fresh clothes.
· Record Shop
Hardcore music fans will want to check out the city's music shops and pick up a souvenir. Trek out to Reckless Records. The indie music shop has several stores in the city, and it carries vinyl, CDs, DVDs and used selections. The knowledgeable staff will help you find some gems.
· Live Music
If the fest winds down while you're just getting started, check out the Empty Bottle for some more tunes. The venue, a local favorite, hosts live music seven days a week. Don't miss Pitchfork performer Delorean hitting the Bottle's stage on July 16.
