Lufthansa might not have any in-flight showers on the A380, but there's a whole mini-spa going on at the Arrivals Lounge. A reception desk will lead you back to your own private shower room, with a sink, toilet, mosaic shower, L'Occitane toiletries, suitcase rack, bench and hairdryer. The towels are white and pristine, and if you desire your shirt or jacket pressed, just put it into the secret cabinet behind the mirror and it will return, fresh and pressed, by the end of your shower. Magic!
After a shower, you are free to hang out in the lounge until it closes around noon. Yes, there is wine and beer available if you're not ready to end the in-flight lushness, and you can choose several areas for drinking it: comfy chairs, dining tables, raised bar tables, workstations, and a smoking room.
Just be forewarned: internet access in this lounge is not free on your own computer. The desktops provided might be, but who wants to use those? We bought a two-hour pass from t-mobile for under 12 Euro. It sucks, but then you are kicking back post-flight with a complimentary beer and cheese selection.
How to get in: You can use the Arrivals Lounge at FRA for free if you are flying long-haul routes in Business or First Classes, or you're a HON Circle member or of Senator level. It's in Arrivals area B, baggage claim, and it's open from 5:30am-12pm.
Disclosure: We were in Germany for the A380 launch thanks to Lufthansa. Views expressed here are wholly our own, however.
