If you love playing chess with those life-size pieces that require you to push them with your body weight, Michigan's Henry Ford Museum has a new larger-than-life exhibit that will fit you perfectly.

The museum, which showcases American ideas and innovations, is featuring "Play," a family-oriented exhibit that encourages visitors to play it up big. We're talking all-body interactive versions of games that not only will engage your brain power, but your physical power, too. Plus, the games teach you about the importance of teamwork.

Choose from various life-size games. Become the game piece by stepping into one of the eight life-sized, hollow soccer players on the foosball table. To play a round of bowling, move in pairs or groups down the alley to knock down the pins on a video screen. Go on an oversized pool table surface to create a musical composition by moving the ginormous billiard balls that have their own musical notes. Play a game of dominoes with a set of giant, soft pieces. Step onto a giant backgammon board that emits different tones when you move around on it. A 6-foot-tall die comes to life when you put your ear against the white dots to hear hundreds of proverbs from other generations and cultures told by a medley of voices.

"Play" is open through September 19. Tickets to the museum cost $15 and $11 for children.
