Gloucester, best known as America's oldest seaport, also has a strong arts scene. There are dozens of galleries in town and its not unusual to see artists pulled alongside the road painting images the coast. You can find a complete list of galleries at Gloucesterma.com.
After a day at Good Harbor Beach or browsing art galleries, you're bound to be hungry. Check out The Gloucester House, 63 Rogers Street, for a lobster roll or their special, a 1 1/4 pound lobster stuffed with the meat of another whole lobster.
If you make a weekend out of it, The Atlantis Oceanfront Inn has rooms available next week starting at $180 a night too, just remember to say hi to Anna for us!
