ACES Gives Train Travelers 100 Days of Freebies

Okay, so you just had an awesome three-day weekend. But instead of feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the world, you're miserable to be back at work and hatching your next escape plan. If you hop on a Atlantic City Express Service train, or ACES, you might win getaways at Borgata Casino & Spa, Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City and Caesars Atlantic City as part of its 100 Days of Summer promotion.

We can't help but think of the Zooey Deschanel flick 500 Days of Summer when we hear that name, and while 500 days of free goodies would be great, 100 days will do just fine. ACES, the only direct train from New York City to Atlantic City, is kicking off the season with prizes such as logoed souvenirs, concert tickets, VIP access at clubs, and free food during your train trip. The top prize, of course, is that 10 riders will win weekend stays at Borgata Casino & Spa, Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City and Caesars Atlantic City, which also includes dinner for two.

The prizes will be awarded to riders online through Facebook and Twitter as well as through surprise giveaways aboard the trains. One hundred goodies be handed out every weekend over the summer (hence the "100 days") through Labor Day.

If a post-Memorial Day weekend trip down to AC is what you need, it's only a two‐and‐a‐half-hour trip. Trains depart from New York's Penn Station with one stopoff in Newark. The double-decker ACES offers leather seating, first‐ and coach‐class decks, and a lounge with plasma TVs available for private booking. Coach tickets cost $29-$69 and first class is $49-$89.
