Celebrate the Release of 'Sex and the City 2' at The Waldorf
With the premiere of Sex and the City 2 right around the corner, the Waldorf Astoria is jumping on the Carrie & Co. bandwagon with a special SATC package deal. The package includes a stay in the Waldorf’s Tower Suites with cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery waiting for you when you arrive, cosmopolitans at the Bull & Bear Restaurant, a 60-minute spa treatment, tickets for a Sex and the City tour and tickets to see the movie. Rates for this deal start at $300 a night between May 1st and August 30th, but movie tickets are only available while the movie is in theaters.
There are plenty of other NYC establishments getting in on the movie's buzz, even though most of the sequel takes place in Abu Dhabi. On May 29th, Velour, one of NYC's most up and coming bars, is hosting a special celebration of the movie's release with all proceeds going to Outright VT, which provides a safe haven for lesbian, gay, and bisexual youth. The event will feature SATC-themed trivia, raffles, drink specials, and music.
And, of course On Location Tours didn't miss the chance to take advantage of the sequel's release either. They're also offering a special Sex and the City 2 Midnight Madness Package on May 26, 2010 which includes dinner at Fresco by Scotto, a private midnight showing of the film, and VIP admission to ultra-trendy Marquee. There will also be a special appearance by SATC and White Collar star Willie Garson! The cost of the tour is $179.
