· Virgin America
If you’re feeling a little down because your seatmate won’t stop coughing and sneezing, ask for a sidecar of EBOOST with your drink. Virgin America offers up the daily health booster and all you have to do is dump it into your drink of choice. It’s an effervescent powder in flavors like orange and acai pomegranate, and it is kind of like a vitamin version of Alka-Seltzer. Even if you’re feeling totally fine, we think it’s a good idea to add it to your drink; it’s like getting that free boost thing when hitting up Jamba Juice.
· Southwest Airlines
The airline that loves bags more than it loves its own mother also has a thing for refreshing in-flight beverages. They offer up the usual suspects when it comes to soft drinks, but they also serve up an energy drink for just $3. Monster Lo-Carb should be available on all of their flights, and one of these will get you jacked up on a healthy dose of caffeine. As a bonus, there’s minimal sugar to weigh you down since it’s carb-friendly. Booze down one of these before preparing for landing and you’ll be all set when it’s time to get off the plane.
· Frontier Airlines
Now that they’re shacking up with Midwest Airlines, the airline that loves furry friends will be offering in-flight cookies, but they also have something that will give you more than just a sugar boost. For $3, cans of Amp Energy are available on most flights. It’s loaded with caffeine and other herbal goodness that should keep you at the top of your game for hours. Just be careful not to overdo it with your need for additional energy.
· AirTran Airways
AirTran has you covered up in the air with their satellite radio and WiFi, but they’ve also got some different beverages to whet you whistle. There’s chocolate milk from Nesquick, fancy bottled water options, and even some premium juice. They stock the beverage cart with Fuze Refresh, and in case you’re not familiar with Fuze, it’s a non-carbonated juice beverage jammed with healthy stuff like vitamins. Depending on what specialty drink you choose, prices range from about $2 to $4.
This will be a running series, so be sure to let us know below (or send an email) and divulge your favorite drinks in the sky!
