Volcano Ash Can't Stop John Cleese; The Actor Takes $5,100 Taxi Ride

Face it, staring at this photo will take up at least 5 minutes of your day today
Here's a doozy news item for today: British actor John Cleese couldn't fly from Oslo, Norway to Brussels, Belgium due to the volcanic ash cloud shutting down airspace all over Europe, so instead he hired a cab to drive him, for $5,100! Only a veteran of Monty Python would do this, and in fact it sounds like a promising Monty Python sketch.
Still, with the Channel Tunnel Eurostar sold out (hope he wasn't set on taking it from Brussels), hotels booked up nearby airports, and the ash delay causing airlines to lose $200 million per day, Cleese may have just made a brilliant move. He's got to get where he's going, and we admire the determination.
In the meantime, millions of travelers are held up all around the world as flights are unable to arrive and depart most European countries with the dangerous ash cloud hanging out up above. We're seeing many tweets similar to the humorous one below:
@realnickperry: One day I'll speak of how Icelandic volcanic dust & Volcanologist Thor Thordarsson stopped me going to NYC and expect to be believed #ashtag
You can't take a taxi across the Atlantic, so hold on tight there buddy.
