JetBlue Might Be Saying Hello to Hartford Soon

JetBlue was busy giving stuff away in Boston the other day, but it seems like they might planning some promotions for another New England city soon. Apparently the airline known for blue in-flight snacks is seriously thinking about introducing service from Bradley International Airport outside of Hartford, Connecticut.

Right now it sounds like it’s only a matter of time before we get an official announcement, and it appears that JetBlue will likely be heading from Connecticut to the Sunshine State. Florida may be one of the best bets, but some are also thinking that Puerto Rico or other Caribbean warm spots could be solid options for new routes.

We admit that we're not totally sure of all the possible destinations, but we are solid on which terminal JetBlue will call home. That’s because officials at Bradley have finally decided to retire Terminal B from service, or more like put it out of its misery. The terminal is the oldest one in the country, and its appearance makes that pretty clear. We’ve flown on American Airlines from the historic building, and all we can say is that we’re glad to see it go.

Today American is shifting everything over to the airport’s main building—Terminal A—and the state police are going to take up residence in the old building. The airport has spent roughly $200 million to spice things up in Terminal A, and we’re just hoping that Jetblue thinks its nice enough to set up shop.
