Amazing Race's Sixteenth Season Will Premiere On February 14

Here we go again—and we say that with a smile, since we're talking about the sixteenth season of Amazing Race, which premieres quite soon, on Sunday February 14th at 8pm EST.

It feels like only yesterday that we concluded our "Chasing Racers" map that followed Amazing Race 15's teams around the globe, as we've done every season, but then it still feels like yesterday that we watched the adrenaline-heavy finale to the very first season.

Who will be this season's backstabbing villains and who will be the cute couple whose mantra is "you can do this, baby! I love you!" We still have to wait and see, but already there's a spoiler on the web from when a traveler spotted the pairs on the road, filming.

The footage above was taken by a tourist to the Kek Lok Si Temple in Penang, Malaysia. He mentions in the video that it's definitely the Amazing Race season 16 teams arriving to the site, but that everyone almost immediately leave in what he believes to be a classic destination mix-up. A commenter on the video then adds further intel:

The date of the Penang leg was on December 14th 2009. Phil was there and he was also in Penang Airport ate his food in McDonald's.

So we guess that's another shocking McDonald's location for our growing map! and you know that if they're in Malaysia, we bet that Kuala Lumpur's Petronas Towers won't be ignored. Stay tuned, because we'll have our next-morning episode recaps as usual!
