Skating lessons, available for beginners and intermediates, happen Saturday and Sunday mornings. Check the schedule for specific times. The ice parties go down on Friday and Saturday evenings. We're sure the Michael Jackson tribute/'80s night on February 6 will be a hit—we'd love to see a Cebu Provincial Detention-like Thriller performance on ice—as will the Valentine's Day-appropriate love songs night on February 13.
The dancing portion of the fest will take place at the Pritzker Pavilion. But don't fret about getting frostbite while you bust a move; the stage's glass doors will be shut and the area will be heated. Dance lessons are scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays. Go for the classes with live music. The tango class on February 14 will be hot, with music from Tangata to accompany your sultry dancing. And swing night on February 20 sounds like a rollicking good time, with the Thomas Gunther Trio performing.
Although the events are free, if you plan on skating and don't bring your own skates, you'll have to rent them for $10.
