Dita Von Teese Ditches Paris For One Week Only in Vegas
Although we usually leave Las Vegas news to our sister site, VegasChatter, we just had to share the news that one of our favorite travel tweeters, who also happens to be the world's top burlesque star, Dita Von Teese is returning to Vegas for a week's worth of performances.
These days, she spends most of her time at her place in Paris or flying around the world either signing her books or giving little tastes of her signature martini glass act, but when she's back at the MGM Grand's Crazy Horse, it's the real deal. She'll be performing "Lazy" with the Crazy Horse dancers, "Le Bain Noir," and "Teese'ing," and hopefully more from March 31 through April 7 (no show on April 6).
Tickets start at $75 and are already on sale, and since we've been sticking out the winter in cold and slushy New York, we're seriously considering hopping out to Vegas for some warming sunlight and a bit of burlesque. We really enjoy Dita because she evokes those classic days when pinups were painted on the sides of planes (a tradition that Virgin Atlantic somewhat upholds) and also because it's just plan fun. And what girl doesn't dream of a closet full of expertly-cut skirt suits and custom Christian Louboutin shoes?
