Sounds good to us, but we were most surprised to hear that airlines are still cleaning the inside of their planes—we certainly haven't seen any recently.
The airline is following environmental guidelines outlined by the Brazilian government, but it’s also nice to see that they’re taking a somewhat proactive approach when it comes to waste management. Last year the airline was able to clean up over 14 tons of gross stuff prior to disposal, and this year they are looking to bring more of their green skills in-house. This will save costs, allow for more flexibility, and will provide the opportunity to brag about how they love the earth more than other airlines. We can just see them striking out at Azul—they’re not green, they’re blue—or something a little more clever.
