Jetblue Celebrates Their 10th Anniversary With A Fresh Paint Job

February 11, 2010 at 11:30 AM | by | Comments (0)

Ten years ago today, Jetblue began operations, with an inaugural flight from New York-JFK, where they'd open their own brand new terminal eight year later, to Fort Lauderdale, wisely heading south to warmer climes.

After Jetblue joined the blue skies, they just couldn't stop adding new destinations, and today they have over 600 daily flights to over 60 destinations. Even though Jetblue is a low-cost carrier, they've been a pioneer in the aviation industry for incorporating technology in their planes, social media into their marketing, and responsibility into their customer service. We mean, this is the airline that first brought us the Customer Bill of Rights and such delights as free Terra Blue potato chips.

So how are they celebrating this momentous occasion? By putting on a fresh new outfit, of course. Jetblue announced their special 10th Anniversary plane livery this morning on their B6 Blog, and it's beautiful! It's on the airplane "Blues Borthers," so keep your eyes peeled for the snazzy jet to come 'round your airport soon.

Airplane nerds, and especially those hot for livery, can check out a full Flickr set of the new paint job here.
