Technically The Wing is the first lounge you'll encounter at Hong Kong Airport, if you veer towards Gates 1-4 and not head straight down the moving walkways. And if you enjoy feeling literally above all the travelers in economy class, this is the lounge for you; it's elevated above the normal waiting areas, sitting a little closer to the lofty ceiling of the terminal but oh so much further away from the din of the masses and the sterile duty-free environments below.
A single small elevator ride up, and you're in a world of complimentary foodwe caught dinner with the much-loved Dan Dan Mien and pork bunsand complimentary showers.

The Long Bar
The spread-out space here is adequate, but an evening of packed flight schedule meant every seat was taken, even in the individual little work table areas. If you're not desperate to just sink into a leather chair, then we'd recommend heading to the Long Bar area for a barstool, some internet surfing on the lounge's free WiFi (even thought the whole of HKG has free access too), and lots of breathing room.
From The Wing, almost every gate but 1-4 feel like a mile away, so the users of this lounge are highly likely to join you on your flight; feel free to make friends Ryan Bingham, Up in the Air-style, by chatting frequent flyer mile status.
Disclosure: We traveled to Hong Kong as guests of Cathay Pacific for this event. Regardless, all images and opinions are completely our own.
