Mythbusters Have No Problem Getting Razor Blades Past The TSA

With all the recent enhancements from the TSA, you’d think it would be pretty darn difficult to sneak anything past them at this point. Even if you were able to pass through the metal detector and body scanner, there’s still a possibility that they can get all touchy-feely on you in search of any rogue liquids or holiday paraphernalia.

Well that didn’t happen to one of the Mythbusters guys, as Adam Savage explained during an appearance in Seattle.

He admits that he has some interesting stuff in his laptop bag, but he always does a double check before heading to the airport to ensure the dangerous things stay back at this office. However, one day he failed to remember a couple of 12” razor blades and apparently so did the TSA—as he was able to board the plane even after taking a trip through the body scanner.

Check out the clip below for the full story straight from the man himself, but remember to keep the volume lower if you’re at the office. It’s a little NSFW due to a bit of language and a couple small genitalia jokes.

Despite the TSA’s possible misstep here, at least we’re fairly confident the Mythbusters won’t use their blowing-stuff-up abilities for evil.
