Front Street is located on Maui's west shore and is one of the island's main drags for tourists, since there's no shortage of restaurants or hotels along the strip. A local favorite is the Front Street Bar and Grill, 672 Front St, an open air bistro with ocean views from just about every tables. But, better than the view, is the fact that they serve generous Mai Tais for under $5.
Just up the coast from the Front Street is one of the movie's other filming locations, the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa in Kaanapali. On the first day of filming in Hawaii, Eastwood shot several scenes in the lobby and in a guest room of the hotel. Right now, the Sheraton Maui Resort is offering a Sunsational Savings Package which gives you a third night free if you book two nights. You can get the deal online by using the promotional code ZS3, rates start around $345 a night.
The aftermath of the tsunami was filmed on Eastwood's last day in Maui at a property in Kapalua, which also happens to have one of best golf courses in the country just a few miles away. Kapalua Golf Academy has a staff of PGA Pros on hand for golf lessons, golf schools, and custom off-site instruction. You can find more information about Tee Times or their Golf Vacation Packages at Kapalua.com.
