Things are far from finalized at this point, and we expect that it would take some time to iron things out as the move is probably going to cost around $35 million. Not only would the plane - known as Alpha Bravo - have to be refurbished so it looked showroom new, but the pontoon would also contain a museum dedicated to the Concorde’s years of supersonic flight.
This plane is the last one that has remained the responsibility of British Airways, so we think it’s a pretty good idea to keep it on its home turf long into the future. We can already see the combination tickets for London Eye rides and this new Concorde attraction. Our vision also indicates that these will be pricey - especially with the unfavorable exchange rate!
