In-Flight Cocktail of the Month: Delta's Bourbon Breeze

Our latest in-flight cocktail of the month is brand new, and we’re pretty eager to try one out next time we need a little liquid relaxation when crammed into a middle seat. Delta had a few options to choose from last month in a passenger-voted contest, and now that the votes have been tallied, a winner has been chosen.

Get ready to be a fan of bourbon, as the Bourbon Breeze is the latest up in the air cocktail. Flight attendants will be mixing and stirring these drinks right on the beverage cart, but we have the ingredients in case you want to try one out at home this weekend.

You’ll need a little—or more than a little—Woodford Reserve Small Batch Bourbon. To that add equal parts Cran-Apple juice, and then splash a little bit of Orange Juice in there as well. Finally, top the whole thing off with a squeeze of lime.

The only downer to this month’s pick is that it won’t be available until November 1. Delta needs time to make sure all the flight attendants are experienced in in-flight mixology, as well as to get all the menus and in-flight magazines updated. So keep an eye out for the Bourbon Breeze, because it could always make an early appearance.
