Take a Dip at This Beach Down Under for the Best Plane Spotting

Headed down under? While it's the thick of winter in our hemisphere, they've got the sun of summer coming down on beaches like the ones at Botany Bay, which happen to be positioned within awesome viewing proximity to the jet action at Sydney's Kingsford-Smith Airport.

Pack your camera, swimsuit and towel and head to the following prime spots to catch A380s landing and taking off, and a whole slew of Qantas planes. After the jump!

The first option for planespotting at SYD is to head to the town of Kyeemagh, and either set up shop at the C-Side Restaurant on a walkway off a street called The Grand Parade. The second option is on the complete other side of the airport in the town of Botany, where there's Sir Joseph Bank Park and Foreshore Road.

Either way, you're close enough on either side to have a great view of all the action at this huge airport while still being able to bask in the sun and even take a dip in the Bay.
