Take a Nude Vacation to Avoid Airline Checked Baggage Fees

When we rant about our frustration with the steadily rising fees just to check one bag on airlines, we usually receive emails and comments of commiseration. But not this week! After we vented over Continental's decision to match Delta's $25 pricetag, we received a message from an organization that somewhat sides with the fees.

Of course, it's the American Association for Nude Recreation, and they're hoping that the checked baggage fees convince more travelers to leave the extra stuff behind and take a naked vacation, because packing for that usually requires no more than a small carry-on.

According to the American Association for Nude Recreation's executive director, Erich Schuttauf, 'To avoid added baggage stress as you embark upon a vacation, whose purpose is to de-stress and rejuvenate you, plan a Nakation � a vacation to a nudist resort! All you�ll need for the week (sunscreen, cap, sunglasses, shoes and toiletries) can fit in a small carry on.' Adds Schuttauf, 'If more air travelers take a stand and a Nakation in 2010, it could send a message to the airlines using baggage fees as a way to get more money from their passengers.'

Nakation, playcation, kidcation...just so long as you're not taking the dreaded "staycation," or even worse the "naycation," not paying checked baggage fees sounds great. To find your local nude resort, check out the AANR's official website.
