Where Will 'Jersey Shore' Head For a Second Season?
What are your Thursday night plans? Either you're watching MTV's Jersey Shore or you aren't, and even if you aren't you're eventually battered with a recap of it or some news of the cast members partying it up at some point. The "guidos" are inescapable this season, and their fist-pumping antics and fake tans are money in the bank for MTV, so much so that the network is reportedly courting the cast for a second season at The Shore.
The possibility was first leaked by Vinny (far right in the photo), who was partying at La Pomme in New York City recently and flapping his mouth about it. Even if the show does return, we doubt they'll be heading back to Seaside Heights. They did pretty much everything last summer to make themselves notorious (and now hated), and Ronnie doesn't have anything good to say about the town right back:
When we first got there, everyone sees the cameras and they want to know who we are. So they were like, 'Welcome to Seaside. Welcome to Seaside.' But a few weeks later, people realized who we were and what was going on, it was like, 'Get the hell out of Seaside.'
So where will they go?...
For a return to the Shore, our money's on Atlantic City. We're familiar enough with the town ourselves to declare that it's got enough nightlife for the gang, plus plenty more sparkle to keep them interested and interesting. If the cast, and especially Snooki, are pulling in $7,500 per paid club appearance, then MTV has to heighten the stakes on their end as well.
Once the temperatures warm up and the New Jersey beaches open, we're sure to hear about where the cast is partying; they aren't anonymous orange-skin, blown out young'uns anymore.
