The 77,000-square-foot facility also will have a Wolfgang Puck cafe and a 110-plus-seat theater that will screen movies daily except for Tuesdays. October's feature will be Fantasia. Film tickets cost $10 for adults, $8 for ages 6 to 17 and $6 for 6 and younger.
According to Disney's daughter, Diane Disney Miller, one of the museum’s founders, these exhibits will break away from corporate Disney's Snow White image, showing the hardships and controversies that her dad faced. "My father's name is probably one of the most well-known names around the world, but as the 'brand' or trademark has spread, for many, the man has become lost," she says.
If you want to check it out, book your tickets asap. The museum, located in San Francisco's Presidio, only offers timed-ticket entry and the early-morning slots for opening day have sold out. The museum will be open Wednesdays to Mondays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is $20 for adults, $12.50 for ages 6 to 17, and free for under 6.
