Swine Flu Now Attacking D-List Celebs In Addition To Air Travelers

September 24, 2009 at 11:24 AM | by JetSetCD | 13 Comments

The silent menace is still out there, and it's attacking our celebrities; it's Swine Flu, and so far it's stuck with D-list celebs like Lisa Rinna, Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley of Harry Potter fame), and now Marilyn Manson.

The announcement from the rocker came via his MySpace blog, and here is all of it, short and sweet:

So I have officially been diagnosed, by a real doctor, with THE SWINE FLU. I know everyone will suggest that f***ing a pig is how this disease was obtained. However, the doctor said, my past choices in women have, in 'no way' contributed to... me acquiring this mysterious sickness. Unfortunately, I am going to survive.

Notice that there is no mention of having caught it on a flight or during travel; H1N1 seems to attack celebs no matter how little they travel or how much makeup they pack on. Let this be a lesson for those paranoid passengers who strap on surgical masks only during the flight; you can get Swine Flu in every other place as well, even at Tuesday night bingo, although we doubt that's how Manson caught it.

Next up on the at-risk list of celebrities? We're voting for Brad Pitt, whose documented use of airplane bathrooms means he's probably on the verge of being the next H1N1 headline.

    D-List?

Rupert Grint is not a D-List celeb whatsoever. Clearly no research was done prior to the "writing" of this entry.

Rupert Grint a D-list celebrity? HA! Idiot. Since when do D-list celebs star in the most successful movie franchise of all time? Since when do they have to wear crazy disguises in public so they aren't constantly mugged for autographs and pictures. Oh wait they aren't...because he isn't. Idiot!

    A-List all the way

As the previous commenters have said, how can you compare a young actor from the biggest film franchise of all-time with Lisa Rinna and Marilyn Manson? It's very ignorant on the writer's part. Rupert Grint is not D-List by any means. This man has an incredible career in his future.

    Ass

Even to the non 'fanclubbers' it is pretty rude to call him a D-list celebrity. Honestly.

    Get some class!

Seriously? Rupert Grint, one of the most famous people in the world, from the most famous movies in the world, is a D-List celebrity? Is there anyone on the internet with an ounce of intelligence? And yeah, I got a Google Alert about this. And? This site, which I've never even heard of before, should feel lucky that they're seeing a little action. And noone will EVER keep Rupert's Army down. And FYI, I am not a girl or a "fanclubber". I am a woman who is a fan of a great person.

    WTF?

Rupert Grint a D-lister? Uh, not hardly! He's probably the most recognizable redhead in the world and is involved in the most successful movie franchise of all time and you have the nerve to call him a D-lister? Besides, I thought D-listers were celebrities no one cares about anymore. And if I can recall correctly, when Rupert got swine flu, it was all over the internet, so obviously someone cares about him. Do yourself a favor and do your homework before writing an article like this. People might actually believe you have some class instead of knowing right off the bat that you're just writing BS.

    Wow, this made it?

I think you need to go back to school and learn about what classifies a D-lister, or maybe you just need to re-learn your ABCs. Rupert Grint and Marilyn Manson are famous, rich, and powerful. Especially Rupert Grint who is seen everywhere all over the world and makes more money than all the people who comment here put together, and WOW, I didn't know such a harmful and even deadly dieases was funny to talk about and it's cool to insult people who have/had it. What the hell is the world coming to? By the way, I'm a Rupert Grint "fanclubber", I guess is the word for it, but I'm a proud male fan so generalize your insults and don't tell me to calm down. This is rude and tasteless. Let's see who has your back if you ever get the disease.

    Bollocks

It has nothing to do with being a so called "fanclubber." It is called fact, which you haven't really looked into. Rupert Grint cannot be under the D-List celeb category. He's part of the most famous franchises of all time, and he will have a bright future with A-List actors. Next time, do your homework.

    Actually...

If I remember correctly, Rupert getting the Swine Flu knocked the Michael Jackson news right out of the way. So, are you saying a D-Lister's illness knocked the news of the most famous person in the world's death, aside? I don't think a D-List celebrity could do that!

I hope you've learned your lesson, Jaunted. No making fun of actors in movies for children!

    oh please...

and so what if we're "fanclubbers"? so what if we're here to defend him? he's one of the very few young stars who didn't start his career by singing stupid songs on a disney movie or with drunk pics all over the tabloids. he actually has a lot of talent and couldn't be less interested in being a a famous star - he prefers to be a good actor. with that said, d list? I guess he's just one of the main actors from the most successful movie series in all time, that doesn't make him A list at all *insert irony here* whatever...

    Children?

Sweetie, I am no child and haven't been for quite some time. The HP movies are not just for children and Rupert has done movies outside of HP, as well. Are people going to continue showing their ignorance in their comments or maybe actually do some research before they start typing away?
