So Cathay's team built extra functionality into their iPhone app, lest someone notice that Cathay doesn't really need an iPhone app. They've enabled customers to surf employees' corporate profiles, presumably for those times when people really want to read about the Cathay board but just can't get to a laptop. This is for real:
One new feature on the application (currently available for iPhone users only) enables passengers to access the 'Meet the Team' function, which gives profiles and pictures of the Cathay Pacific team that helps to deliver [services]... 'Meet the Team' has been very popular since it launched on the airline’s main website and now iPhone users can find out all about what makes the Cathay Pacific service team tick.
Yeah. We're sure that "Meet the Team" has been a regular barn burner on the website. It's probably the third most-trafficked section, just below Cathay's booking engine and the form people use to complain about how idiotic projects like "Meet the Team" waste money and increase ticket costs.
