So it's not like the airlines are flying this route because Brussels is the new Paris or something, although they do have pretty scrumptious Belgian waffles and pommes frites, and that statue of a peeing boy is pretty popular with the tourists. BNet has further theories on the sudden love of Brussels, including the airlines' need to do something with their London slots that isn't running costly transatlantic flights to the US over winter.
Having been to Brussels and loved it, we do think that it is worthy of the airline's attention, but we have to confess to a weakness for the Eurostar. At two hours for the train trip and the same amount of time, if not more, to go through the airports and the flight, we're choosing the train.
