Right now most of the states that have an electronic toll system either use E-ZPass or TransCore, and there is the capability to link the systems together. That way SunPass in Florida and TxTag in Texas can play happy together when the snowbirds head out of town for the winter. However, there’s no agreement in place yet, but hopefully one company will agree to pay the other and we can have one big happy toll family. Anything to make our road trips better makes us feel warm and fuzzy on the inside; even if it reduces our fund for dollar menu items.
Check out USA Today for an interactive map of the current states using the E-ZPass.
