It's a nice Starbucks too, with perfectly round and sugared donuts in the case like in your dreams, but still it sits in a position of huge historical importance. Apparently enough years have passed however, and now this strip boasts more than just the Starbucks, but a Marriott hotel, a Subway, and a Haagen-Dazs Cafe (with free wifi!). Since grabbing a small strudel and kaffee here is far cheaper than the 50-Euro-per-night upgrade to an executive room at the Marriott which includes free breakfast, it's not an entirely unwelcome sight for tourists. We should know; we took this video.
Jot down the address in your Moleskine for your next visit to Berlin: 5 Potsdamer Platz, along Ebertstraße near its intersection with Voßstraße. It's as great a meeting point as any, within walking distance of Brandenburg Gate and did we mention the free wifi next door at the Haagen-Dazs Cafe?
