Jam It or Slam It: My New Brazilian Cargo Truck Tarp Hat

So I got this new hat, and I think it's pretty neat. It's a Tarp Hat from a company called The Real Deal and it's made from the recycled tarpaulins of Brazilian cargo trucks that have traveled from the Amazon to Sao Paolo and back again. It's sturdy and has a nice wide brim, which is why I like it, as I'll take as much sun protection as I can get.

It's also pretty much indestructible. The company even says "Don't take care of this hat. It will take care of you." None of this "Dry Clean Only" nonsense. If it gets too smelly, just rinse it off in the nearest watering hole, taking care to avoid the anacondas and caimans.

Of course, it's hard to pull off a hat like this, fashion-wise. You risk looking like a wannabe safari guide, Crocodile Dundee, Indiana Jones, or Jekyll & Hyde Club maître d'. But if you're actually out in the woods or on the water getting dirty, it works.

So, what do you think? Is this a sensible hat with a cool back story, or a pathetic attempt to look like more of an outdoor adventurer than I actually am?
