This Weekend In The World: Oktoberfest And Shakespeare

· Munich:
Everybody say it with us now: "Ein Prosit!" That means "a toast" in German, and you'll be saying it about every five minutes at Munich's famous Oktoberfest, which begins tomorrow and runs sixteen days until October 4. There will be beer tents, heart-shaped cookies, lederhosen, and preztels all up and down the Theresienwiese fairgrounds, and you can trust us to give you all the tips you need to have a great Oktoberfest 2009.

· Bogota:
Andy Warhol exhibitions seems to pop up all over the world, but the "Andy Warhol, Mr. America" one currently showing at Bogota's El Museo del Banco de la Republica is developed in conjunction with Pittsburgh's Warhol Museum. The show closes after the weekend, packing up and moving on to further dates in both Buenos Aires and Sao Paolo It features 26 paintings, 57 silk screens, 39 photographs, 2 installations and 14 of Warhol's films.

· San Diego:
San Diego sure seems to be hopping lately, and this weekend there are two options for entertainment: the Shakespeare Festival which continues on through the end of the month, and Restaurant Week, which is enjoying an extension (more on our restaurant picks on Monday).

· Bar Harbor:
If you happen to be up in Maine, enjoying "the way like should be," then you'll know that the stars are actually visible in the night skies up there, far away from the big city lights of the rest of the east coast. To celebrate exactly this—the natural night sky—Acadia National Park is throwing a party this weekend: the Acadia Night Sky Festival, with plenty of art, nightttime nature walks, and photography workshops.
