We love New York's Idlewild Books (12 W. 19th St.), a party-happy Gramercy outlet with a sideline in antique and rare globes, and L.A.'s own Traveler's Bookcase (8375 West Third St.). And we're still mourning the loss of Chicago's Rand McNally wonderland, a casualty of the economic crisis.
So tell us, what's your favorite travel bookstore? It could be your home base, where the cashier can see you coming and pulls your favorite guides in advance, or it could be that remote outpost that saved your trip in 1991. Let us know in the comments!
