Since the Jumbo Hostel opened in December 2008, it's become a tourist destination of its own right, turning the airport's focus back on the awesomeness of aviation as the airplane sits engineless just outside of Arlanda's active runways. This means a front row seat for take-offs and landings.
Of course next time we're in Stockholm, we'll be booking the honeymoon suite in the cockpit, from whose beds we can simply look up at the air activity above. It's $460 a night including breakfasttheir most expensive roomcompared to the dorm bed in a shared room with breakfast, which goes for $48 a night. Or maybe we'll just opt for the $132 single room and make friends with whoever is staying in the suite.
