San Diego Lets You Know They Have More Than Just Shamu

August 6, 2009 at 11:22 AM | by Heidi Atwal | 0 Comments

With the mercury rising to almost unbearable temperatures in some parts of the country, it's nice to know that San Diego is one of those rare destinations that offers a postcard-worthy experience in a comfortable, temperate oceanside climate. Think adventure activities and the option to spend your days lounging on the beach—and that's just scratching the surface. Enter the Chill Out in San Diego contest and beat the heat with one of two robust vacation packages, depending on what your idea of an ideal getaway consists of.

One winner will win round-trip airfare to San Diego and a three-night stay at the recently renovated Hilton San Diego Resort and Spa. There are two itineraries you can choose from, the first being the "Chill Out with Family" trip for four, which includes the aforementioned travel and accommodations, a one-hour private surf lesson with Surf Diva Surf School, a kayaking excursion with OEX Dive & Kayak Centers, some up close and personal time with Arctic animals courtesy of SeaWorld’s® Wild Arctic Interaction, and a family dinner at Anthony's Fish Grotto.

Meanwhile, the "Chill Out with a Friend" package for two includes the same travel and accommodations, two spa treatments at the Hilton San Diego Resort’s Spa Breeza, surf lessons with Surf Diva Surf School, a kayaking adventure with OEX Dive & Kayak Centers, a dinner cruise on San Diego Bay on Hornblower Cruises and Events, and dinner for two at Anthony’s Fish Grotto, right on San Diego Bay.

Visit www.sandiego.org/chillout and enter to win by September 4, 2009 for the chance to discover a city that has much more to offer beyond Shamu.
