New Restaurant Weeks Are Always Nice; Please Welcome 'Miami Spice'
We can't praise Restaurant Week enough, and we're not just talking about New York but about the plethora of other cities adopting the couple-week event with discounted prix fixe meals at the best restaurants. Cities like Boston and Chicago have jumped on the bandwagon in past years, and 2009 now welcomes Miami to the mix.
During August and September, renowned restaurants will serve up three-course mealsקlunch for $22 and dinner for $35with the intention of discovering "the tropical fusion of ingredients that makes Miami dining so wonderfully out of the ordinary." Some of the hotspots on deck for the promotion: Nikki Beach, Barolo, Meat Market, Cafe Avanti, and Smith & Wollensky (which has an amazing view of the harbor and ocean).
Don't forget about the hotel restaurants, those kings of swank. Our sister site HotelChatter points us to their favorites: Hakkasan at the Fountainebleau, Mandarin Oriental's Azul, The Tides' La Marea, The Raleigh Restaurant and more.
