Update: the lottery jumps to $325 million this Friday with no winner found for the $252 million.

Yesterday evening, the winning numbers (3, 12, 19, 22 and 40; Mega Ball 2) were announced for one of the biggest MegaMillions lotteries ever: $252 Million Dollars. And it's about to get even larger with no winner this time around. The new jackpot will be $325 million, with numbers picked this Friday.

Megamillions is played in twelve states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington, and hopefuls who purchase a tickets stand a 1-in-175-million chance of winning the big payoff.

Whether it's $252 million or $325 million, imagine for a moment that the winner is you. Where would you take your first blow-out trip? Would you hop around five-star resorts in the Indian Ocean or opt for a year of private jet sharing? How about both? How about taking us along?

    $325 million

    I would book a flight on Singapore Air and reserve the A380 Suite for a round-the-world jaunt followed by a round-the-world cruise on The World by ResidenSea. Ports of call must include The Seychelles, Monaco, Venice and Bora Bora. I would trade in my 2001 Pontiac Aztek for a more fuel efficient car and buy the most expensive futon from the IKEA catalog.

    It WOULD be nice...

    Wow, I think I would just travel non-stop for the rest of my life, probably stopping to spend a year or two living in places I particularly liked. I'd start by heading to Andalucia and then Morocco. A tan, some fine living and some nice culture to kick off a fabulous new life. Think I might have to pick up a lotto ticket on my way home...     Where would my dream vacation take me?! Sheeesh I'd want a trip around the world just like the Amazing Race all in one month. I'd visit Egypt in African, Colombia in South America, Japan in Asia, Australia, Spain in Europe and finish off in Hawaii. I'd take both my parents and my brother because they've been there for me no matter what. And I would've want to stay in 5-star hotels; I'd want the regular hotels...whatever that means.

    Easy. Paris.

    I would fly biz-class to Paris and rent out presidential suite at the Crillon Hotel. I wouldn't leave until I've done/seen all that I wanted. Then I would go to St. Petersburg (Russia) and do the same thing. Followed by Tokyo, Melbourne, Cape Town and Buenos Aires. Oh what the heck? I'll stop in Rio too.

    Africa in a Land Rover

    I would rent the fattest Land Rover, oh wait, I would BUY the fattest Land Rover, load it with stuff and tour Africa with my girlfriend for the next few years.. Maybe fly off to Thailand for a week break now and then, just to get a change in scenery..

    The remaining money I would have to donate to various organizations to feel less guilty about my Land Rover, luxurious stays at resorts, flying around the world, etc, etc..
